I make no bones about the fact that the Faithful Ones' religion has
borrowed from a number of real-world beliefs, including Christianity and
various pagan beliefs, especially traditional Christian beliefs in
Europe, which integrated ancient pagan customs and beliefs into a
Christian framework. There are other influences as well, not just
religious, either.
