That's a very good point, and something I hadn't taken
into consideration!

Another great idea. I was thinking of writing a
computer program to display the glyphs as a bitmap
picture from text typed into a separate window. I
could use such a program as a testbed for various
ideas on how best to assign the segments. I'm going to
work on it this weekend and I'll post here as soon as
it is done and available for anyone else who would
like to play with the idea.
