Well, I'm not sure if Tinker Toy can do it, but in Jean-François Colson's
TinkerFont is is easy: U0uWI0FVXJ0x0QcdefghxiJ0xz0IY
JFC TinkerFont can handle *approximations* for quite complex scripts, e.g.
Tamil "ka":
