I've heard some of Herman's music. I'm into alternative tuning systems. The Techians use a 53-tone just scale like the Turks use, but I'm tempted to change to 72-tone equal temperament, which Byzantine music has. I've written music in the past, and my best year was 1997, when I discovered Noteworthy Composer (a semi-free MIDI composition program). I came up with a few compositions, but I've deleted most of them since I no longer like them. The very first composition I kept, since I'm the most proud of it. It just sorta wrote itself, so spontaneous. Hopefully I'll be more motivated to write more music soon; I've had some health problems for a while -- liver, thyroid, brain, other stuff...
