I can sincerely add that not only English. I have a good number of teach-yourself book published in Moscow, Leningrad (St.Petersburg) and Kiev, that use IPA wildly (sorry, widely :-)) for French, German, Swedish whatever. Yitzik ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
