Well, public kissing is considered vulgar in Kobayashian communities.
The Kobayashians are a religious group in my conuniverse, an offshoot of
Christianity (they consider themselves to be the *true* Christians, and
mainstream Christianity to be a vulgar perversion of Christ's
teachings).

Among the Kassi, kissing would probably be seen as very odd, possibly
even disgusting.  Then again, they're nonhuman.
