Hmm, for me that's a very obvious distinction. ObConlang: Classic Watakassí was evolving an inclusive-exclusive distinction. The dual had become strictly inclusive, for dual-exclusive one would have to use the paucal. In addition, there was a tendency to use the paucal more often when the meaning was exclusive than the plural, and the plural more often when the meaning was inclusive. Later descendants codified that distinction, so that 1st person was (free pronouns): Singular Dual Plural Exclusive Tálwa --- Tápa Inclusive Táiswa Tálma -- "If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore, and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God!" - Ralph Waldo Emerson "Glassín wafilái pigasyúv táv pifyániivav nadusakyáavav sussyáiyatantu wawailáv ku suslawayástantu ku usfunufilpyasváditanva wafpatilikániv wafluwáiv suttakíi wakinakatáli tiDikáufli!" - nLáf mÁldu nÍmasun ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-Name: NikTailor
