It's a new one to me. I don't ever recall seeing it at the Yahoo
groups (Nostratic, Nostratica and Nostratic-L in historical order.)

The only truncation I'm aware of is of the attachments. They were
moved to the files section, where, thanks to Yahoo's anti-social
policy, they are now only available to members.

I'd call Nostratica moribund rather than defunct. It now has an
active moderator in case anyone wants to use it. The active,
intellectual group is Nostratic-L.
