I do not know the answers to your questions, as I am not a native
English-speaker, but I have a comment.
What you are looking for is an ORTHOGONAL design, where you can use any term
of the set
what/which/thing
who/one/body
how/way
when/time
why/reason
where/place/location
... (complete with other terms, please)
combined with any term of the set
no-
some-
any-
every-
-ever
... (complete with other terms, please)

English is probably not orthogonal along those two dimensions. In English,
at least "where" can be combined to all the terms of the second set.
"one/body" is also orthogonal, provided we use "who" when combining to
"-ever". The same goes with "what/which/thing". Maybe developing such an
orthogonal design would be a nice idea for a new designed language. That is,
if we find reasonable meanings to the other combinations. E.g.:
never = no+ever [by contraction, although not by meaning?] = no+when/time
[by meaning] = nowhen/notime.
however = the way it is/was/will be/would be done does not matter [as
opposed to the usual meaning, "although"]: [in the new sense] However you
do, it will be fine for me; only the results matter.
Hey, I am seeing a revival of Newspeak! :)
