    Well, the root of "to want" is "r w d", yet the verb is "uriid",
"yuriid", etc.  The root for "to be" is "k w n", yet the verbs are "kuntu",
"kaana", etc.  And there are a ton of other ones.  Our Arabic teacher would
always have fun with us, giving us a root and saying, "maa huwa elwazan?" and
we'd always get it wrong because they have such irregular changes sometimes.
The irregularities may prove to have some sort of irregular pattern, but
irregular they remain.
