Hello Friends,
I'm afraid I'm not able to keep up with this busy list on a regular basis,
but I do look in now and again.
My Saprutum page is stalled at about 2/3 done, I'm afraid I work in bursts
of concentration/inspiration, so that's why there's no contact details etc
yet. It's really just a working draft that I put up on the net so that you
guys could get a good laugh :-) I must finish it off, I really hate to
leave things undone. I don't anticipate the morphology/syntax changing very
much, but now that I know a bit more about Semitic historical linguistics
(thanks for the pointers) I will probably revise the vocabulary and perhaps
some of the word formations. The phonology will probably also remain unchanged
but will be more clearly related to proto-semitic.
Please attribute the language to MARCONATRIX which is the name I'll put
on the webpage. The e-mail contact is sap@carrot.clara.net
And the webpage URL is as you have it :
http://home.clara.net/carrot/saprutum/grammar.html
You might also like to link to my initial announcement of the language on
this list which includes a first shot at the Babel Text. This will need
some revision of details, but still gives the flavour of the language.
Indeed, I find I constantly refer to it as I write the grammatical sketch.
Anyway, thanks for including my efforts.
Best wishes,
Keith (aka Marconatrix)
