All countries in the Eurozone get the same coins and banknotes (the banknotes
are exactly identical for everyone), the coins are identical in size and
colour, and have an identical side, but the other side of the coins is country
dependent. Still, the coins of one Euro country are valid in all Euro
countries. I have the coins in front of me (the Dutch government offered an
exemplary of each coin - a real one, that you can actually use - to every
person living in the Netherlands for more then one year and being 6 or older. I
did't get this Europakket - since I've been here for only 4 months - but my
friend has). There are coins of 1, 2 and 5 Eurocents (copper), 10, 20 and 50
Eurocents (gold), 1 Euro (silver with a gold ring around) and two Euros (gold
with a silver ring around). As for the banknotes (which won't be in circulation
before the 1st of January), they are IIRC of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500
Euros.
Christophe.
