I don't have diphthongs in my conlang. It is a strict CVCV...CV(C) structure. Long vowels (syllables) are marked by a hook (somewhat like an apostrophe, but it's distinctively hooked).

[snip] My conlang uses ligatures to indicate word boundaries, sentence boundaries, and "rough" and "smooth" vowels. It does get quite unwieldy (and unsightly) with all kinds of awkward ligatures dangling around, so I'm still thinking of reworking it. But I think I'll still keep the basic idea. T -- People walk.
