Don't see Ogham as ugly, it is basic, clear to the point. We are still
not 100% sure of the letters meaning, since it is also used for other
things than "writing".
Boundary marks, counters, magic runes and like.
Seen some forms of western (Roman) that are ugly to an untrained or
non-loving eye. Some form of Gothic or Leuxiul Miniscule can be rather
ugly.
While what we in the English speaking world is rather inept for writing
English.
We left all the signs that were not French or Roman. Sad..
