So, what do folks think are the most beautiful scripts? What are the
best different types (cursive, block, consonantal, logoraphic, whatever)?
What are some creative things that could be tried in constructing new
scripts? Each time I try, my conscripts always look like the Hindi
alphabet, Arabic, or Russian? Is there any possibility for an
innovative, original looking writing system?

I prefer blocky cursive consonantal syllabic alphasyllabaries, along with
pastors who spend all their time with the youth and minister exclusively
to old folks.

I have no favorite styles as far as scripts go. I quite like the one I
made, which is technically a consonantal/phonemic block system based on
Hebrew, but I can also enjoy kanji, tengwar, and the writing for Old
Church Slavonic.

Creative things? Try mangling old things beyond recognizability.
Actually, I had a vague idea for a script based on motion and color, but
that wouldn't be supportable by a conculture. Perhaps smell would work.

If your conscripts look like the alphabets of Hindi, Arabic, or Russian,
perhaps you should accept recruits.
