Truly an interesting question. Hmm...I would have to say Karl Orff: one hit
wonder (Carmina Burana) that when it is good is really, really good, but most
of the time it is mediocre or even awful.
May I nominate Hanuman Zhang for the "Philip Glass" award? ;>
