Seems reasonable to me and from memory I can't do much
more than point you to Johanna Nichols paper:
Nichols, Johanna. 1986. Head-marking and dependent-marking
grammar, Language 62 (1), 56-119
which is what was used to introduce me to the concept when I
was doing comparative linguistics in Leyden.
