I had no problem. In fact, until you pointed it out, I didn't even notice anything odd about it! Now that you have, I can see that it's definitely odd from a standpoint of my dialect. But, the context makes it quite clear that "hasn't" means "does not have [possess]". -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
