Well, personal reaction I guess. The ny is palatalized [n], _a, i_
basically the IPA equivalents. I think there's maybe some ancient
phonaesthetics at work here; traditional Indonesian singing tends to be
rather nasal in quality; one might say, whiny (personal reaction again!).
Anyway, I shouldn't complain, because _ñ_ and _...ñi..._ are far more
frequent in Kash than in Indonesian.
