While on the subject of odd usages, I just came across a post with the subject header 'I have diven in agin' <http://groups-beta.google.com/group/rec.crafts.meadmaking/ browse_thread/thread/9a403b43e99e27c1>. It seems 'dive' is a regular strong verb nowadays :) -- Tristan.
