Since both Iceland and the Azores are volcanic outcrops of the
Mid-Atlantic Ridge, I think it extremely likely that your island would
be so also. Volcanic soil is very fertile, so in temperate climate I'd
expect it to be arable.
The climate should be similar to the corresponding parts of coastal
Europe or a bit warmer, thanks to the Gulf Stream. (The Azores are
subtropical despite being at 39 N.)
