Not exactly. For instance, it doesn't have sanity ;))) .

Just add a dative personal pronoun to your sentence. Even if there's already one in, you may add it :)) (for instance, in French you can say: "Je te lui est absolument rien donné !" where "lui" is the true dative - since you give something *to* someone :)) - while "te" is the ethical dative).
> When is it used?
When you feel like it! :))) Basically, it transforms a cold utterance of fact into something with feeling inside.
>It's something I've heard used in Spanish (as per >the no me come la comida example) but never knew >what it was or what to do with it.
I think it's the kind of things you need to have in your native tongue to understand, because it's not really explainable.
> And at least >Kerno still has a dative to do it with! :))
Most Romance conlangs still have a separate dative at least with the personal pronouns. The "ethical dative" is never used with anything else but pronouns (or agreement marks in the case of Euskara) anyway. Christophe Grandsire. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr You need a straight mind to invent a twisted conlang.
