Some languages inflect adjectives as verbs. So, really, it's more that
adjectives are a separate category that in some languages are inflected
like nouns (e.g., Latin, Old English), in some they're inflected like
verbs (e.g., Japanese), in some uniquely (e.g., Modern English), and in
some a mixture of the two (I can't remember any examples).
