Of course! The question here was whether the term "obélisque" was *also*
used for the dagger or not. And to that particular question, I have no
answer :( .

LOL. It seems the official site agrees with you (by analysing Asterix as
"aster": star + "rix": king :))) ). But his mother always calls him
"Ririx", which is quite less star-like ;))) .
