Sorry for the misinformation here. I don't speak French, and so am
prone to make the same mistakes I see in print, or perhaps, can confuse
examples easily. I think I saw something to that effect, but good
Chomskyan that I am, I bow in favor of the native speaker's testimony. :)
In any event, I don't think it alters the basic thrust of my argument, th=
ough.
If "libert=E9" is not an example, one could easily be found (and you gave
some examples which agree with this).
