Whups, sorry. Didn't mean to misattribute. Also didn't realize anyone
was in violent disagreement with the above statement, though.
However, there is more to gender roles than social
convention. At least some of the difference between traditional
male and female gender attitudes seems to be programmed into the brain
while the fetus is in the womb, and when that programming is at odds
with the biological sex, the gender confusion that leads to transexualism
is the result.
