BTW, my unhelpful dictionary translates "pagan" as _hednisk_, which simply
means "heathen, non-Christian". Presumably, someone using it of him-/herself is
intending it in a rather more specific meaning. The capitalization would
suggest something more specific too, I should think.
My impression is that the word in a present-day context refers to people
adhering to revived pre-Christian European religions. Is that correct?
