Which is fine - as I said, I choose not to capitalize adjectives (e.g.
american, french, asian, black) in private/personal correspondence except
when identifying them in some way as a (most often social) label (e.g.
Pagan, Christian, White, Black). Capitalizing, besides indicating
place-name-of-origin, has a place as a social-consciousness tool at least in
the USA.
I too wish that race, colour, religion, sexual-pref, made no difference to
societies as a whole; but I also wish there were no wars, no hunger, etc.
