Excellent examples. Thank you. Nevermore will I make the mistake of
thinking English has only one "th" phoneme with two allophones. :)
Teeny tiny correction in vain attempt to save face: while phonemic
/tiT/ is also phonetic [tIT], phonemic /tiD/ is realized as
phonetic [ti:D]; English vowels automatically lengthen before a
voiced consonant. :)
