- Another native New Yorker, i say "Costa" (i assume as in "Costa Rica") as /kowst@/, although since i've taken four and a half years of Spanish i probably pronounce it /kosta/ with as much (if not more) frequency as my native English style. "Cost", like Elliot's, has a /O/ in my speech. -Stephen (Steg) "Hhappy Hhanuka!"
