One of the worlds that Valdyas grew out of - or rather, it grew out
of what I picked up after two worlds had fallen apart - was a planet
colonized by Orthodox people from many different countries, and they
used a lingua franca developed from Church Slavonic. On the other
side of that world there was a Romanian settlement who spoke a
variant of Romanian. I fondly remember some place-names: S=EEnziene
"St. John's", Valea Verde "Green Valley", and in the Slavic
settlement, Bezpesnoje "Dogless" and Jazvina "The Chasm".
