No, typically a primate *is* an archbishop: the head of the national
church, considered as a branch of the catholic (i.e. universal) church
in that country.

I think that bishops must exist, and therefore dioceses, but they are
small potatoes compared to abbots. In particular, secular (non-monastic)
priests are effectively under the control of the abbot rather than the
bishop. Perhaps this is managed by making the abbots also bishops.

No. As in the Orthodox church, a priest must be the husband of one wife,
which is interpreted to mean "no remarriage".

Yes. An open question is whether public confession survives, or whether

But not as a sacrament personally instituted by Christ. Ditto for
confirmation and orders.
