More like "(I bought it)'s car is-red."  It's usual, in discussing
Mandarin grammar, to treat the "de" that separates stative verb
used as adjective from its noun, the "de" that separates possessor
from possessed, and the "de" that separates relative clause from its
attachment point as three different things, but I think if you wrap your
head around it the right way, you can see them as three functions of a
single relationship marker.
