In Diane Duane's ST novels (which are not canonical) we are told that Romulan is actually a conlang, created as a daughter language of Old High Vulcan by the Vulcans who left their planet after the establishment of the rule of logic (more like "the rule of reality", actually). -- Real FORTRAN programmers can program FORTRAN John Cowan in any language. --Allen Brown jcowan@reutershealth.com
