The Kassi do the same thing, except that day starts at sunrise. After
the invention of the mechanical clock, the custom arose of setting it by
sunrise of summer solstice (such that the day never began after
sunrise). Of course, by "modern" times, time zones have also been
instituted, but the day still begins around sunrise.
