A sounding hello to the critical observers
of German cases and conjunctions! ;-))

To the shift of paradigm concerning "weil" I want to remark
that the first contact which I made with SVO following "weil"
was "The Flintstones", renamed to "Familie Feuerstein" in
its German translation. And even there it was not a true
grammatical violation that had been put into Fred
Flintstone's mouth - it only was a colon. Let me illustrate:

I must eat because I am hungry. In "bad" German syntax:
"Ich muss essen, weil ich bin hungrig."

But if we assume some kind of enumeration, it stops
looking ill-formed. Thus:

Ich muss essen, weil:
1) Ich bin hungrig.
2) Es gibt meine Lieblingsspeise.
(translated: "My favourite meal is served.")

So, for me the cited bad habbit of switching to SVO
after "weil" is just a one-choice enumeration after
an imaginary colon and does not strictly belong to
the preceding sentence.
