Tervetuloa, Welcome Joel!
Hauskktuloa (in my conlang)
I've been fascinated by the Finnish and Estonian
languages for years, that is why my one-and-only
attempt at a conlang (Vya:a:h) is borrowing nearly
half of its vocabulary from those natlangs - the other
half from Japanese, other Asian tongues, or otherwise.
Maybe you can help me out, you may know better than
me. Still, I am in the dark about the notations used
like IPA/SAMPA - though I've received many pages
kindly, quite often I have little time to read them
over! I've learned that the Finnish "a" with umlaut
is [&] and I'm guessing the Finnish "y" is [Y] - is
that right?? So to express in these notations the
conlang name, for example, would it be [v Y &: h] ?
GlhL!
(Kiitos!)
