Sounds good to me.  I've heard the local Mexicans use it.  There are a
number of verbs in Spanish that can be used without an expressed
subject.

Hace frio.  Is "frio" the subject or the object of the verb?

Me alegra (mucho).  It pleases me (a lot).

Me encanta.  It delights me.
