I'll buy that.
Apparently <loch> and <lake> are cognate, the latter coming into
English from Latin by way of French, the former from Old Irish
by way of Scots Middle English. But I don't see any reconstructed
PIE root for it or any etymology going further back than
Old Irish and Latin.
