The trouble is, some of us are technologically incapable of switching to
Unicode. Some people are still (I think) using ASCII terminals to log in
(at least some times), and others use screen reading software due to
blindness. Still others have groovy retro operating systems. All in all,
the only thing that is guaranteed recievable is still plain old 7-bit
ASCII.
