Hmm, Utakassí has *7* genders. For rational (language-using) entities,
there are three - male, female, and epicene. Epicene is rarely used in
the singular, outside of dictionaries. The epicene died out in many
dialects, including in the Koine variety, in those dialects, the female
took over as a generic.
Of course, the associated conculture has rigid distinctions between male
and female roles.
