Oh Heaven, yes. I've had numerous dreams about reading a book (and the
story is often half-real, half-read) and with *one* exception that I
recall (I kept a dream journal for some 5 years) I *always* woke up
before the story finished. Always frustrating, as the temptation of
having a shortcut to a story would've been nice, as a writer.
OTOH, I've never had anything coherent enough to story-ize without major
change in a dream. <shrug>
