        As far as I know, Tagalog does this. The dative is the indirect
object, and the benefactive is person for whom something is done, or who
incited your (or another person's) action into being.
        ("I did this for my boss," you're not really doing it because you
get all warm and fuzzy when your boss is happy, but because you are expected
to do it so you don't displease him.)
        The dative and benefactive can overlap, and many languages treat
them as the same. English usually uses "to" and "for" to distinguish the
two.
