Sports team names over here don't follow the American pattern of  "The
<placename> <critter>s". Nor need there be only one team per sport in
each locality. There are two football (meaning soccer...) teams in
Glasgow (at that level), "Glasgow Celtic" and "Glasgow Rangers" (NB:
*not* "The Glasgow Rangers"). I know vanishingly little about sport, but
these two teams were, or are, on opposite sides of the sectarian divide
that runs across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. To get an idea
of the atmosphere, have a look at the "warning" on the right hand side
