Ah, you meant *that* hat! No, that was an ordinary party hat. Indeed, it was part of the play.

How much is that in litres? I'm used to two à three litres a day, sometimes more (max. 5, I think).

Indeed. The title was: "I have enough of you!!!" :)))))

Well, smartlappen come closest to the first example you give: "I gave you the key to my heart, and you threw it away." "My dad is a drunk and my mother a whore, no wonder we're so devastatingly poor." "If you are born as a nickel, you will never be a dime." (or the opposite, I don't remember). etc. They are always sung in Dutch, usually in either 4/4 or 6/8 time. When sung with more than one voice, one would normally do it in kitchenmaid thirds. They come closest to German schlagers, I think. Just Google for "smartlap", "Koos Alberts", "André Hazes", "Manke Nelis", and you will probably find some sound samples.

Rather the latter, I'm afraid. Jan ===== "Originality is the art of concealing your source." - Franklin P. Jones ________________________________________________________________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends? Get the FREE Yahoo! Messenger http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com/
