The general impression I get of the lang, if asked for a part of the world,
would be Africa. Why? Well, the liking for nasal-plus-homorganic stop
combination, the persistence of intervocalic -f-, and just the general
syllabification. But "kinavikazuru" - what a lovely word! I'm sure it's a
mountain in Zaire. ;-)

Here's some of it in Omina - what about other versions?

Mandi maima delan otella re.
Halomian, hartu e are kaide.
Bai manen aigiro, o turaia kauli deksi.

A few notes:
"Man-di is dual. This indicates that the friends were a "habitual pair", not
just two people who happened to have met.
There is no verb "To walk". Mai-ma delan is literally "Go-together
walkingly"
Ote-lla. Durative case of ote "road" = "along the road" ('towards its end'
implicit in the case ending)
Kaide = 3ps auxiliary with momentaneous aspect. de = "it is", Kai-de "it is,
all of a sudden".
