Well, FWIW, there are quite a large assortment of Latin translations and
retransaltions of the Bible around. John Calvin reportedly did one himself, and
Erasmus apparently did one of the New Testament, and there is one for the Psalms
that I've got that's dated to around the 1920s.
The lack of information on these various separate translations does bug me every
now and then, but I don't know how to get hold of all the information I'd need
to do anything about it. And yes, there are pre-Vulgate Latin translations in
existence.
What edition is the biblegateway one?
