I cannot give you any advice on software other than, "Use whatever you

But there is something nifty one can do instead of or in addition to
a regular alphabetic dictionary, and that is a thematic dictionary,
in which words are sorted by fields of discourse.
Mark Rosenfelder did this for his conlang Verdurian:
