ITYM "spelled correctly as tlhIngan in the article" :)
Interesting article, though, especially since I'm already familiar
with a different Braille orthography for Klingon -- I'm acquainted
with a Klingonist who's blind and who uses, to the best of my
knowledge, a transcription based on the letter assignments in a couple
of available fonts.
Specifically, this leads to the following assignments:
Roman a b ch D e gh H I j l m n ng o p q Q r S t tlh u v w y '
Braille a b c d e g h i j l m n f o p k q r s t x u v w y '
Braille a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y '
Roman a b ch D e ng gh H I j q l m n o p Q r S t u v w tlh y '
which are fairly mnemonic, except for x<->tlh and f<->ng (but you have
to work with what you have). Also, it uses only Braille cells
representing letters in English, leaving traditional contraction cells
available for contractions. Care must also be taken to distinguish
between k and q (standard Romanisation: q and Q, respectively).
