Are you sure? My Lebanese neighbor told me that, altho he liked the
name Jennifer, he couldn't name his daughter that, as he wanted a name
that would transfer well into English and Arabic, the reason he said was
that Arabic has no /dZ/, only /Z/, so that Jennifer would start with
/Z/. Incidentally, they named her "Lillie". Of course, he might be
referring to his particular dialect, that is the Lebanese dialect.
